The plea was plain in Cliff's voice. If Jimmy looked at him, he was afraid he'd fall again. He didn't want to fall, didn't want to land in the cold, hard reality that even Cliff didn't want him, couldn't handle him. Because he couldn't. Jimmy knew that now. What he needed, Cliff didn't have.
"Please, Jimmy, don't let's do this without even looking one another in the eye."
I couldn't even think of a picture to go with this. :(
